Wouldn't You Like to Know!
Wouldn't You Like To Know!
By Richard Raad, Interim Pastor
I bet you have some questions. I also believe that you would like to know more about what's happening now, what's going to happen soon and, by the way, how are we anyway? Well, we would like to help you with that. The better informed you are, the more you are able to participate in everything. So, let's talk.
You are invited to come to one of 5 Family Meetings that are scheduled over the next 6 weeks. We chose 5 different days over the month of July and into August so that everyone's schedule could fit. We will limit each meeting to about 25 people so that we can talk together and answer everyone's questions. We'll serve some coffee and a snack so that we can relax and enjoy the family discussion. The weeknights will be from 7:30 to 9:00 pm and the Sunday meeting will be after church from 12:00 to 1:30.
You come with questions and Jerry Fox and I will come with some information that we want to share with you. Included will be a financial update, progress on our Thematic Goal project and some additional info on our new vision plan. We want you to be in the know. So come and meet with us so that we can provide the info you need.
Sign up sheets are at the Information Desk for each of the dates scheduled. They are: Wednesday July 9th, Sunday July 13th, Thursday July 17th, Tuesday July 29th, and Monday August 4th. Check which date is best for you and get your name on the list. Jerry and I look forward to talking with you.

NEWS FROM THE CONGO
Progress is slowly but surely happening at the pastoral training center in Lodja where "Stage 1" of a long-term missions plan began in February of this year. Here's an overview of their plan, with each stage presumably taking 1 year to complete.
Stage 1 Teachers will be trained in Lodja
Stage 2 A first group of pastors from villages close to
Lodja will begin classes at the Lodja training
center.
Stage 3 Pastors from the first class will return to their
villages and duplicate the process.
Stage 4 The process is duplicated to another level as
pastors are trained and sent out from these
satellite schools.
Today at our dinner after church you will hear some interesting stories and more details about what's been going on in the Congo. Please come and have some good food and fellowship.
