Fountain of Life Preschool

Dave and Judi Carnegie have been raised up as missionaries in their local church, Midlands Christian Centre, at Estcourt in the Midlands of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Dave and Judi have four sons, Patrick, Ian, Christopher and Angus (all are married), as well as a spiritual daughter, Jessica Christina, 6 years old.-

At the beginning of 1989, Dave and Judi stepped out in faith to serve their Lord and Savior in full-time ministry with Midlands Christian Centre. For fourteen years Dave and Judi, together with teams from the Centre, visited Zulu schools once or twice a week and ministered the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST. During this time thousands of young lives were influenced for Jesus. Dave presently oversees the "Greystone" Campsite and Mission Station, a ministry of Midlands Christian Centre. Dave is also active in the ministry of helps at "Fountain of Life" Pre-School and also helps the Zulu people establish intensive vegetable farming ventures, as well as sewing groups for the Zulu ladies.

The "Fountain of Life" Pre-School (for children 3 to 6 years old) is situated near Estcourt in a township known as Wembezi. Finances donated by "Fountain of Life" Church, Lombard, USA, helped the Midlands Christian Centre build this pre-school. It was built in the middle of a war zone in 1993 during the 1993 � 1997 time of violence in SA. It is here that Judi, a trained teacher with a strong love for the Lord, has been most involved. Undaunted by the danger and usually the only white person in the area, she has poured her life into this school, loving the children, caring for families and also training young Zulu adults to teach from the "Step by Step" Christian Curriculum which she has written. A soup kitchen operates from the pre-school each Thursday afternoon. Many, many children as well as some grannies receive a cup of soup and listen to a Bible story. This has been a miracle pre-school that has stood as a symbol of hope to the people of the area.

Ministry Objectives: The purpose of the ministry is to reach out and touch the lives of the estimated 200,000 Zulu people living in this area. Our goal is to see lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for people to be discipled in the Word of God.
