Prayer

Jesus daily spent hours talking with, and listening to, his Father to know what he thought about things and get refreshed in His presence. It was necessary for Jesus to spend this time in prayer to know His Father's will and cultivate the intimate relationship he enjoyed with His heavenly Father. If Jesus felt compelled to invest so much time communicating with His Father, how much more do we need to take the time to quiet ourselves and come into God's presence with thanksgiving and praise and cultivate an intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior!

There are many forms of prayer, such as petitions (asking for God to do something), intercession (pleading with God on behalf of someone, or something else), or just expressing to God your feelings for Him and listening intently to what God says back to you. In a nutshell, prayer is communicating with God. The most fulfilling and productive communication is reciprocal, that is, at times you are talking and other times you are listening.

Fountain of Life church is partnering with The Edge, our young adult ministry, to create a 24/7 prayer room to facilitate the type of extended reciprocal prayer Jesus enjoyed with His Father. We are excited about what God will do through us and for us as we become more intimate with Him and align ourselves with His will.
